Malanka 2026

It’s finally back! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome you as we return to the stage to host the best Malanka of the New Year. Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with delicious food, lively entertainment, and cherished traditions!

Enjoy an amazing catered meal, cabaret with cash bar, a 50/50 raffle, raffle table, live entertainment by Tim Romanson & The Cattle Drive, a Malanka skit, and a midnight lunch to wrap up the night.

NYE at the ODR

Are you looking for something to do for New Years Eve? Come join us at the outdoor rink, 700 block of Main St in Foam Lake, for FREE, hotdogs and hot chocolate, will have 2 fire pits and a heater in the shack and lots of cheer and stories to share about the year past and ahead.
Last year around 20 kids skated right up to midnight. If skating isn’t your thing the hill also has lots of snow for great sledding.
Starting around 7:30pm!

Beer League Bowling

Swing by the Foam Lake Bowling Centre every Thursday for beer league bowling! Everyone’s welcome to drop in and enjoy a fun night on the lanes. The beer league season runs until June – so lace up those shoes and start throwing strikes!

Frozen Water Family Day

Bundle up and get excited for the 20th Annual Frozen Water Family Day❄️

✨Pancake Breakfast // 8:30am – 9:30 am at the Foam Lake Senior Citizens Centre. $15 per plate, $10 for 8 and under. All plates come with coffee or juice

✨Open Gym // From 9am – 4pm take a tour of the gym, check out the equipment, drop in to workout ($10 per person), or sign up for a membership at the Active Living Centre located in the Foam Lake Community Hall

✨Public Skating // 10am – 12pm at the Foam Lake Recreation Centre

✨Public Curling // 10am – 2pm at the Foam Lake Recreation Centre // Learn how to curl instructors on site

✨Shoot Around // 12pm – 1:30pm at the Foam Lake Recreation Centre

✨Bonfire // Starting at 12pm at the Fireman’s Outdoor Rink in the North Side Park, roast a free hotdog & enjoy hot cocoa

✨Vintage Snowmobile Rides // 12pm – 1:30pm at the North Side Park with the Foam Lake Elks

✨Skating, sledding & snow activities // all day long at the North Side Park – snow activities will be set up around 10am

✨ Willy’s Tavern // Warm up & play a variety of board games from 12pm-4pm

✨Community Theatre // Enjoy a free showing of the movie Snow Day (2000) at 4pm at the Foam Lake Community Theatre. The concession will be open

Book Club

The next book club meeting will be held January 8, 2026 at 6:30PM at the CCC building (library). They will be discussing the book, Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. If you are interested in attending and seeing what the club is all about, let the library know at 306-272-3660 and they will order in a copy of the book for you!
